He then uses the auras of the Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Atom, and Aquaman to create doubles to draw the other members of the Justice League into various traps which Kanjar Ro has devised. While the people of the planet Rann are distracted, Kanjar Ro creates a duplicate of himself from his own aura and leaves it in his place. For some reason the yellow radiation he released means Adam cannot stay on Rann for more than a year. He first uses radiation from Rann's Triple-Star to become three times as powerful as Superman and nearly defeats the JLA, but Adam defeats him with his own Dhorite Energi-rod (like Superman is weakened by Kryptonite, Kanjar is vulnerable to Dhorite) and imprisons Ro in a prison with bars of Dhorite. Ro makes several attempts to conquer Rann, prompting the League to team-up with Adam Strange.
Green lantern villains thanos crack#
Ro escapes after the four villains make a crack in the barrier with their thought waves, but leaves the other three behind. The JLA imprisons all four monarchs on a small planet around which Green Lantern creates a power ring barrier.

The League is able to defeat all three monarchs, and also defeat him, despite him taking away the monarchs' voices with his energi-rod (the League had previously recorded their voices so humanity was freed). In his first story, he blackmails the Justice League with his Gamma Gong, and uses them to battle the other three monarchs by threatening to leave all humanity in a paralyzed state, to only be released if all three monarchs spoke Kanjar Ro's name at the same time. Dhor is constantly at war with three other Antarean worlds: Alstair ruled by the plant-like Queen Hyathis, Mosteel ruled by the metal-skinned Kromm, and Llarr ruled by the lizard-like Emperor Sayyar. Thankfully, the Infinity Gems' power proved useless in any universe outside of its own, and Darkseid cast it aside.Kanjar Ro is the self-proclaimed dictator of the planet Dhor in the Antares star system. The worst place it could have ended up was in Darkeid's possession, which is exactly where it ended up. One of these was the Infinity Gauntlet with all six Gems nestled inside its gilded frame. 2003's JLA/Avengers crossover by Kurt Busiek and George Perez saw the heroes of both teams racing against all odds to collect six iconic objects from each of their respective universes. This wasn't the only time an artifact of immense power came under threat of slipping into the hands of a madman, though. While Thanos and Hal both coveted the energy of Oa, it was left to Kyle to strip that power from both of them and set things right. During the events of 1996's Green Lantern/Silver Surfer: Unholy Alliances by Ron Marz and Darryl Banks, Thanos came to blows with both Kyle Rayner and Hal Jordan, with the latter being under the influence of Parallax at the time. The worlds of DC and Marvel have collided several times over the years, and during the course of those events Thanos has witnessed first hand just what a Green Lantern's ring is capable of.
